Posada Navidena celebrated by the LAPD and 50 families

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The spirit of Christmas was never felt more for 50 struggling Southeast Los Angeles families than when La Bella joined with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and Univision Radio to host a Posada Navidena event full of joy and hope for the neediest.

Eager children frolicked around a jolly red-suited Santa Claus whose day job finds him as LAPD Southeast Los Angeles Captain Phillip Tingirides. Every child received toys, and all enjoyed the presence of Latin pop artist Luz Rios, along with a festive hot dinner followed by a fantastical chocolate cake.

La Bella Beauty's involvement in and support of the community has risen as California has risen to one of the top 10 states in number of mortgage foreclosures, according to MarketWatch. The Los Angeles area population has been particularly hard hit, with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting an unemployment rate over 12.5 percent.

Each family participating in Posada Navidena on Dec. 10, 2010, received a bag containing a 22-ounce Super Spike Styling Gel, a 22-ounce Wet Shine Styling Gel, 22-ounce Extreme Sport Styling Gel and a Chamomile Conditioning Shampoo.

Business incubator Power Woman Business Center, established by advertising agency Power Media Group, backed the event with client referrals for in-kind donations.
